Ahead of the impending winter storm Hope Connections is asking the public for essential items for the homeless. Donations can be dropped off at 24 hours a day, seven days a week:

  • Sleeping Bags
  • Coats
  • Socks

  • The City is asking citizens to report any water main breaks they see around town to 673-7600. This will help field workers more quickly identify and repair the breaks in the waterline.

Driving Safety Tips

  • Drive slowly, carefully and avoid driving while distracted
  • Allow for extra driving time
  • Reduce speeds when visibility is low
  • Make sure there is plenty of room between yours and other vehicles
  • Look out for black ice - a thin, transparent lay or ice accumulation that can be visually hard to detect on bridges, overpasses, off-ramps, and in shady spots.
