October 28, 2019, 10:00 AM @ The Common Park
Mayor Adrian Perkins and members of the City Council, Caddo Parish Commission, Shreveport Common, Shreveport RegionalArts Council, along with major public and private donors are cutting the ribbon and opening the City’s first urban greenspace, the Common Park.
The Common Park is opening in the western edge of downtown Shreveport, at the center of a nine-block transformation and revitalization project. It is destined to transform a long-blighted area into a place of fun, featuring tree-lined walking paths, gardens, and a water feature that serves as an irrigation system. It will also have a food truck court, park benches, bicycle racks, and the infrastructure to support later additions.
