City to Open Cooling Centers During Heat Wave

The City of Shreveport will open its cooling stations Saturday, July 21 to allow citizens a place to cool down during 100-degree temperatures.

Shreveport Firefighters Battle a Blaze at a South Shreveport Church

Shreveport Firefighters were dispatched to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church on Norris Ferry Road this afternoon. At 1:23 p.m. Caddo 911 was notified by a church member cutting the grass that smoke was coming from the roof of the church.
