SPAR announces the following upcoming events:

Spring Break Camp, April 6 – 10. Registration opened March 16. Space is limited and is filled first-come-first-served. The camp is open to students ages 6 to 17. The camp is free but registration is required. Contact your nearest SPAR community center to register. See myspar.org for listing of SPAR community centers.

Country Western Round-up Dance, Friday, March 20th from 6 PM to 8:30 PM at Southern Hills Community Center (1002 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop). Come boot-scoot to the sounds of Blue Rhythm Band. Light refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Southern Hills Community Center at 318-673-7818.

SPAR Citywide Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday, March 21st at all SPAR Community Centers. The festivities begin at 10 AM. The event was originally planned for Betty Virginia Park but due to the threat of inclement weather, will now be held at all SPAR community centers. The event is free and open to children of all ages. Come play games, win some prizes and fill your basket with Easter Eggs! Grab your Easter basket and stop by your SPAR community center for a “hopping” good time!

Thursday, March 26th at 10 AM, David Raines Community Center (2920 Round Grove) is hosting their 4th Annual Musical featuring performances by all SPAR senior choirs. SPAR currently has choirs from A. B. Palmer Community Center, Airport Park Community Center, David Raines Community Center, Hattie Perry Community Center and Bill Cockrell Community Center. Come join the festivities and listen to great singing by our SPAR seniors.

Thursday, March 26th at 11 AM, Chris Hays Community Center (4300 Illinois) is hosting “I am Woman” event to celebrate and inspire all women. The event is free and open to the public. Contact Chris Hays Community Center (318-673-7814) for more information.
