The City of Shreveport invites all youth interested in baseball to attend the RBI Skills & Drills Clinic, hosted at Southern Hills (1002 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop), today, April 6th, starting at 6:00 p.m. The clinic, featuring players from the LSUS baseball team, will work with participants to refine youth ball-playing skills.
RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) is an MLB-sponsored program that strives to create opportunities for children to engage in a team sport while recognizing the value of community and community service. SPAR has been an official member of the Major League Baseball RBI program since 2012, as an affiliate of the Texas Rangers. During this partnership, SPAR has grown this program from 150 participants in its inaugural year to over 500 in 2016.
