About the Director,

Bill Sabo – Director of Economic Development 

Bill Sabo is the Director of Economic Development for the City of Shreveport, bringing technical expertise and leadership to support business growth and investment. As a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Louisiana’s only Entrepreneur Development Professional accredited by the International Economic Development Council, he works closely with businesses to create opportunities and drive economic progress.

With experience in business development, workforce strategy, and urban revitalization, Bill plays a key role in the Bloomberg Harvard Leadership Initiative, tackling challenges like blighted properties to encourage redevelopment. He collaborates with major regional institutions, including BRF, LSU Health Sciences Center, and Southern University Shreveport, ensuring businesses have access to a skilled workforce and industry resources.

Bill has focused on streamlining business processes, reducing regulatory barriers, and modernizing digital services to make it easier for companies to start, grow, and invest in Shreveport. His approach emphasizes efficiency, accessibility, and economic inclusion to support entrepreneurs and established businesses alike.
