A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a computer system tool that allows geographic data to be viewed, visualized, and analyzed. This aids in decision making, problem solving, and creating spatial relationships.
The GIS section maintains all data within the City’s GIS database, produces maps for public and City use, and provides GIS support for City departments.
The City of Shreveport assumes no responsibility or legal liability for the accuracy, completeness, reliability, timeliness, or usefulness of any information available from the GIS system. The location of any displayed infrastructure may not be accurate or correct and should be verified prior to any planning, design, construction, etc.
