Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of  2014 (WIOA) is designed to help job seekers access employment, education, training, and support services to succeed in the labor market and to match employers with the skilled workers they need to compete in the global economy.

The goal of the WIOA program is to increase employment, retention, and earnings of participants and in doing so, improve the quality of the workforce to sustain economic growth, enhance productivity and competitiveness and reduce welfare dependency.

Who are our Customers?

On-the-Job (OJT) – adults are trained by private employers

Dislocated Workers – laid off and long-termed unemployed persons are retrained.

Youth Programs – improve your reading and math skills; get your Diploma/GED Summer Employment Opportunities.
