Water and Sewerage ServiceOn this site, general information about the Water Billing System and specific customer account information is available. Listed below is information on water service for Shreveport, Louisiana residents. Additional information may be obtained by contacting Water & Sewerage, Customer Service.

The City of Shreveport prefers one (1) days notice to turn service on. Each account will be billed a connection fee. Deposits are NOT required for first time customers and customers with good a credit history (pay their bills in a timely manner). A deposit will be required if someone is re-establishing service and owes a previous bill. To have water service turned on/off contact:
All accounts are subject to be charged a deposit
and service charge when disconnected for non-payment.
The service charge for connecting a service is $15.00 per meter.
The deposit required is determined by the size of the meter.
There are several options to pay your water bill including: Check FreeCenters, On-Line Water Bill Payment, Bank Draft, by Mail or in Person. We are sorry, but the EPP (Equalized Payment Plan) is not available at this time. Checks may be made payable to DOWAS. For fast service, you may pay your bill in person. All payments made in person are posted to your account at that time. Please bring cash, check or money order between 8:15 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.., Monday through Friday to:
Delinquent accounts
should be paid in person at the Government Plaza,
1rst Floor, 505 Travis St. This is the only location where payments are

The City of Shreveport can draft only from a checking account. Contact 673-5510 for an application form. Please click here to learn more about this convenient and easy way of paying your Water Bill. A customer may request for automatic bank draft privileges through our automated Web service. Please visit our web site at www.Shreveportla.gov. Scroll down to the bottom of the page entitled "On-Line Service" and select "On-Line Water Bill Payment". “CheckFreePay’ is now accepting payments for your Shreveport Water Bill.
Just take your Water Bill to your convenient CheckFreePay location to make a payment. Please allow 2 business days for
the payment to be credited to your account. Any customer with an on-line water bill user account can make a one-time payment via their checking account with commitment or obligation to continue using the service. The service is offered at no cost to the customer. |
