Shreveport’s Metropolitan Planning Commission has chosen A. Nelessen Associates Inc. of Belle Mead, New Jersey as the lead consultant for the City’s new Master Plan.

“They are an award winning visionary planning and design firm and we like their approach,” says City Planner Roy Jambor. “They are one of the most successful and experienced planning teams in the country.”

Wednesday November 19, 2008, the MPC along with city, parish, business representatives and members of the public listened to the presentations of the five firms chosen as finalists in the Master Plan process. Following the public presentations at the Robinson Film Center, MPC members took a public vote that was unanimous for A. Nelessen Associates Inc.

ANA has a list of successful Master Plan and community re-development projects that include Austin, Texas, Overland Park, Kansas and Midtown, Atlanta, Georgia. ANA is highly recognized for its visionary planning which is a unique public participation process created by A. Nelessen Associates Inc.

“They have an incredible amount of energy,” says Jambor. “I wouldn’t be surprised to see them open their new Shreveport office before the beginning of the year.”
