Wednesday November 19, 2008, the five finalists recommended for consideration as the lead consultant of the new Shreveport/Caddo Parish Master Plan will travel from Massachusetts, New Jersey, Florida, Georgia and Texas to make presentations to the public and members of the Shreveport Metropolitan Planning Commission.

Their presentations will be made at the Robinson Film Center at 617 Texas Street from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. The public is invited to be a part of this process and sit in on the presentations at anytime throughout the day.

Free parking will be available at the First United Methodist Church back lot, located at the corner of Douglas and Milam Streets. The consulting firms selected by the MPC as finalists are:

Goody Clancy – Boston, Massachusetts

Nelessen Associates – Belle Mead, New Jersey

Wallace, Roberts & Todd, LLC – Coral Gables, Florida

EDAW Inc. – Atlanta, Georgia

Design Workshop – Austin, Texas

“This will give us a unique opportunity to personally meet the finalists and hear their plans for taking us through one of the most important roadmaps for the future of Shreveport and Caddo Parish,” says Charles Kirkland, Executive Director of the Metropolitan Planning Commission. “We’re excited and ready to get started.”

While the public is invited to attend only members of the Metropolitan Planning Commission will vote on the final consultant.
