Shreveport Mayor Cedric B. Glover proudly accepted the vote of the The Louisiana Chapter of the National Conference of Black Mayors Inc. that on Friday October 12th elected him President for 2007-2008. | The state chapter of the NCBM, representing 58 mayors and one million residents, elected Glover at its Annual Board of Directors Meeting Friday October 12th in Shreveport. | “We are in good hands”, says outgoing state president Mayor Jamie Mayo of Monroe, Louisiana. “Cedric is innovative, creative and brings new energy, new ideas, courage and integrity.” We’re proud to have Cedric Glover as our leader at a time when Louisiana is at the Crossroads.” | Mayor Glover will serve as President for the 2007-08 year. He is allowed to serve two terms. “I am truly honored to have been elected President at a time when bold, creative leadership is needed.” “We will work together, share ideas and initiate change to position ourselves on the frontline of progress in the cities, towns and villages of Louisiana.” | Mayor Glover hosted the LCNCBM October 11-13, 2007 at the Shreveport Convention Center.
