Tuesday September 11, 2007 Shreveport Mayor Cedric B. Glover charts another first as he joins the PTA’s and PTSA’s of every Caddo Public School. PTA membership cards from 75 schools will be given to Mayor Glover at the Caddo District Parent Teachers Association General Meeting, which begins at 9:30 am.

“No other mayor of our City has shown this type of commitment to parents and children,” says PTA President Mariah Underwood. “We are so very fortunate to have Mayor Glover’s leadership and involvement.” “Our Mayor will join hands with us and will be a card carrying PTA member of 75 Caddo schools.

“I want students in school and parents involved,” says Mayor Glover. “Research shows that when parents are involved in their child’s education, that child does better in school.” “I hope that my involvement will motivate parents across this City to get involved and do their part to help our schools and our boys and girls, reach goals of excellence and great success”.
