Mayor Cedric B. Glover and the Baptist Ministers Fellowship Conference of Shreveport will host a citywide service Tuesday, January 15, 2013, to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. | The special service begins at 6:30 p.m. at Galilee Baptist Church, 1500 Pierre Ave., where the renowned E. Edward Jones is Pastor. Dr. H. Beecher Hicks, Jr., Senior Pastor at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., will be the featured speaker. | The Interdenominational Observance also includes special recognitions of the 2013 ``Spirit of Dr. King Award’’ recipients by Mayor Glover and the City of Shreveport.
