Mayor Pro Tem Ron Webb has announced that Caddo District Judge Scott Creighton today set a date for arguments on the City’s request for a preliminary injunction for Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. | On Friday, October 16, 2009 Webb issued an Executive Order calling for the injunction to be filed to prevent three Community Development city housing inspectors from returning to work. | “I am calling a special meeting for the City Council to convene and go into Executive Session to discuss this matter next Monday, October 26, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.,” says Webb. “I’m asking all council members to be in attendance to discuss this important issue.” | In accordance with the City Charter, the Chairman of the City Council shall serve as Mayor Pro Tem and perform the duties of the mayor when the mayor is out of state. | Shreveport Mayor Cedric B. Glover is en route from Beijing, China to Washington D.C. and is set to return to Shreveport on Thursday, October 22, 2009. Glover was one of many invited distinguished guests that attended the international Caofeidian Forum in Tangshan City, Hebei Province, China. | # # # |
