Today, the City of Shreveport’s Personnel Board voted unanimously to reinstate all three (3) Community Development housing inspectors who were terminated as the result of the investigation initiated by the Caddo Sheriff’s Department. | All three city housing inspectors filed appeals. | Stating that the City’s evidence in support of the terminations was insufficient, the Personnel Board voted to reinstate all of the inspectors effective Monday, October 19, 2009. | Ray Jones and Jackie Mandigo are to be reinstated with back pay and Daniel LaCour is to be reinstated with no requirement for payment of back pay. | City officials and the City Attorney will meet on Friday, October 16, 2009 to discuss today’s vote of the Personnel Board, determine its implications and explore options. | ### |
