On the advice of the local National Weather Service and the Caddo-Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Executive Director Sandy Davis, Shreveport Mayor Cedric B. Glover and Bossier City Mayor Lorenz “Lo” Walker have postponed tonight’s National Night and rescheduled the event for Tuesday, November 3, 2009. | “Because of the tremendous community involvement that surrounds National Night Out and the positive impact that it has every year on our communities and our neighborhoods, as mayors we felt that it was extremely important that National Night Out not be cancelled,” says Mayor Glover. “We will now shift gears and make Tuesday, November 3rd the night of the annual event that brings us all together in a positive and unified spirit for the greater good of Shreveport-Bossier.” | # # # |
