The Shreveport Police Department is donating emergency light bars and mobile video systems and other public safety equipment to the Caddo Parish Constables of Ward 7 and Ward 8. | On Tuesday, August 4, 2009, Shreveport Mayor Cedric B. Glover, members of the Shreveport City Council, and Police Chief Henry L. Whitehorn will donate the equipment in a 2:00 p.m. presentation that will be held in the police department’s Field Services Bureau, located in the basement of the Shreveport Police Complex at 1234 Texas Avenue. | “I am honored to donate this equipment,” says Chief Whitehorn. “Collaboration is an integral component of our strategy to serve the citizens we are sworn to protect. Even though we might wear different uniforms, our mission is the same and I am pleased to donate this equipment on behalf of the City of Shreveport, the Shreveport City Council, and Mayor Glover.” | Members of our local media are encouraged to attend this presentation and see first hand how this equipment is going to continue to help keep the residents of Shreveport and Caddo Parish safe. | # # # |
