The City of Shreveport will be conducting construction activities near the T. L. Amiss Water Purification Plant on Sunday, April 5, 2009. This work will include the repair of a major valve on a 42-inch water transmission main. | Work will be conducted on Sunday when many major water users are shut down, and water demands are low. This work will not cause a loss of water to any customers. City of Shreveport crews will begin work at 8:00 am and are expected to be complete in four hours. All water reservoirs will be completely filled during the night preceding the work, allowing near normal water operation. We ask that high water use activities such as lawn watering be conducted the day before to reduce the overall water use. | Due to this construction activity, you may experience a slight decrease in water pressure. If your water pressure drops significantly, please contact the City’s service center at 673-7600. |
