The Office of the City Engineer has issued a construction contract to Wicker Construction, Inc. for installing a new 12” water main along Southfield Road from East Kings Highway to Youree Drive. | Equipment mobilization and construction is set to begin Monday January 19, 2009, at East Kings Highway and progressively continue towards Youree Drive. | Construction will be performed along the south right-of-way between the roadside curb and south property lines. | For traffic control the contractor will use traffic signs and devices within the outside eastbound traffic lane which will cause periods of lane closures for a time frame of approximately three months. | We will maintain continuous traffic flow along the inside eastbound traffic lane and do not anticipate any road closures throughout the duration of this construction project. | For more information contact Gary Bordelon, Project Administrator, Office of the City Engineer @ 318.673.6073. |
