Juvenile Fire Setters Program
This program is designed as a tool to help parents address the problem of fire misuse by a child in their home. The counseling session usually lasts for one hour and is provided at no cost. The use of videos, activities, and discussion to teach respect and proper handling of fire and fire tools are utilized as part of our evaluation, with emphasis placed on the main message that fire and fire tools are for adults only.

The age and circumstances of each child are taken into consideration and occasionally, circumstances may indicate that an alternative form of help is necessary, with referral for professional counseling.

Safe Baby-Sitting
This program teaches fire safety and emergency procedures that all young adults should know when they are baby-sitting.

Holiday Fire Safety
This is a seasonal fire safety program used to address fire hazards associated with various holidays. This program is usually focused on the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Fire Safety for the Blind & Visually Impaired
This is a fire safety program designed specifically for individuals with a visual impairment or for caregivers of an individual with a visual impairment.

Fire Safety for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing
This is a fire safety program designed specifically for caregivers of an individual with a hearing impairment.

Fire Safety Tips for People With Disabilities
This is a fire safety program designed specifically for individuals with a disability or for caregivers of an individual with a disability.

Stress Prevention

This program covers stress, how to deal with it, the common causes, health effects, and how to prevent it.

General Fire Safety
This program provides general fire safety education to participants and is often customized to meet the needs of the audience.

Health Fair
This program provides a variety of fire safety literature for participants.

Free Smoke Detector Program
This is an ongoing program where smoke detectors are installed and batteries provided to maintain a safe environment for citizens of Shreveport.

Fire Prevention Mobile Training Unit
This is a mobile self-contained training unit that is useful for taking fire safety programs to high risk audiences. Additionally, this unit operates as a rolling billboard with safety messages.
