Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance (ABO) Licenses and Cards
Before engaging in the business
of dealing in alcoholic beverages, all wholesale and retail dealers
shall obtain from the City a current permit to conduct such business.
No person shall, sell, barter, exchange, allow any person to consume
alcoholic beverages on the premises, or do any other act for which
a permit is required without first having obtained such permit.
ABO (Liquor and Beer) License
Requirements of for ABO Licenses vary if you are a sole proprietorship, partnership, or corporation. These requirements are included with the application below. Processing of the license application will take approximately 2 to 3 weeks. Fees are paid to the Finance Department. They will issue the license. All licenses expire 365 Days from the date of license payment. No business can operate on a previous owner's license. License cannot be moved to another address. Business must have a State and a City license before operating. Each new owner must apply for a new Certificate of Occupancy.

ABO Cards / SOB CardsABO Cards are required by anyone BEFORE they sell alcoholic beverages. SOB cards are required BEFORE working at a Sexually Oriented Business. The cards must be renewed every TWO YEARS. The cost is $20.00 and $20.00 for renewal cards. Applicants must bring the completed application (or complete an application at the ABO Office), cash check or money order (NO CREDIT CARDS) for the appropriate amount, a VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE or STATE ID with picture, and SOCIAL SECURITY CARD. If you do not have a driver's license, you MUST bring a Birth Certificate and Social Security Card or valid Military Id. You will be fingerprinted and photographed when the application is submitted.
Foreign nationals should have GREEN CARDS or proof of NATIONALIZATION.
