If you become a victim, don't just
ignore it, hoping the problem will go away.
First of all, call police and report
it. Then, if you need further assistance, ask for help. There are a
number of wonderful resources out there for you!
The direct, tangible costs to crime
victims are estimated to be about $105 billion each year. That
includes medical expenses, lost earnings and public program costs
related to victims assistance.
Pain, suffering and reduced quality
of life increase the cost to $450 billion annually.
