Shreveport Police Officer placed on administrative leave

Shreveport Police Chief Henry Whitehorn is placing an officer on administrative leave this morning.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. this morning, Chief Whitehorn received notification from authorities with the Desoto Parish Sheriff’s Office that they had arrested off-duty Shreveport Police Officer Eric Boughton for first offense D.W.I.

Boughton, who was hired by the department in July of 2007, is being placed on administrative leave by Chief Henry Whitehorn pending an internal investigation.
