Detectives investigate overnight shooting

Shreveport Police detectives are investigating a shooting that sent a local man to the hospital last night.

At approximately 6:15 p.m. on December 21, 2009, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of Malcolm St. relative to a shooting. Upon arrival there, officers were unable to locate a victim. A short time later, 18 year old Christopher Boone of Shreveport arrived at LSUHSC in a private auto suffering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder. The wound has been described as non life threatening.

Detectives have learned that the victim was standing in a yard on Malcolm St. when he was shot by a male suspect who was driving what has been described as a green Buick. Boone was extremely uncooperative with investigators, even to the point of refusing to disclose his personal information.
