At approximately 5:06 a.m. on December 17, 2009, Shreveport Police Officer Jimmie Minor was dispatched to the 5100 block of Monkhouse Dr. relative to a suspicious activity call. A concerned citizen reported observing a male suspect clad in pajama pants and armed with a brick walking around the parking lot there looking in vehicles. Officer Minor arrested the suspect without incident and subsequently discovered a stolen Garmin GPS on the suspect’s person. The suspect, identified as 29 year old Andy Babb of the 5100 block of Monkhouse Dr. in Shreveport, was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of simple burglary.
Detectives will be following up on this arrest to determine if this suspect is responsible for other similar crimes. Anyone with any information regarding this suspect or any other vehicle burglary case is urged to call Shreveport Police detectives at 318-673-6985 or Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373. -spd- View all SPD press releases at www.shreveportla.gov |
