Shreveport Police investigating E-Z Quick Cash robbery

Shreveport Police need your help in identifying and apprehending a suspect who robbed a west Shreveport business yesterday morning.

At approximately 10:00 a.m. on December 9, 2009, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the E-Z Quick Cash in the 2600 block of Mackey Ln. A witness told investigators that a male subject entered the business and inquired about a loan. As the male subject left the business, he held the door, which is normally locked until the employees allow access, open and the suspect was able to enter the business. The suspect produced a handgun and demanded money from the employee. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the scene on foot. No one was injured during the robbery. Detectives believe the subject who held the door open for the gunman may be involved in this crime.

The gunman is described as a black male, approximately 5'6” to 5'8" tall, weighing 150 to 170 lbs., wearing a grey coat and dark pants, armed with a black semi-auto handgun. The second suspect who held the door open is described as a black male, approximately 5’7" to 5'9" tall, weighing 150 to 165 lbs., wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.Detectives are working on acquiring video surveillance footage for release.
