Shreveport Police investigating business robbery

Shreveport Police need your help in identifying and apprehending a pair of suspects who robbed a west Shreveport sandwich shop last night.

At approximately 9:29 p.m. on December 8, 2009, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the Subway in the 8900 block of Jewella Ave. A witness told investigators that two masked male suspects entered the store and one of them immediately produced a black semi-automatic handgun. The second jumped over the counter and ripped the cash drawer out of the register. Both suspects then fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the robbery.

The gunman is described as a black male, approximately 5'7” to 5'9" tall, weighing 140 to 165 lbs., wearing a black hooded sweatshirt over a multi colored sweatshirt, black gloves, dark pants, and white shoes, armed with a black semi-auto handgun. The second suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’4" to 5'6" tall, weighing 120 to 150 lbs., wearing all black clothing. Detectives are working on acquiring video surveillance footage for release.
