Detectives arrest suspect for aggravated rape

Shreveport Police detectives have arrested a local man for aggravated rape.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on December 8, 2009, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to Willis- Knighton Medical Center in the 2600 block of Greenwood Rd. relative to a sexual assault. Upon arrival there, officers contacted an adult female who reported that her 12 year old daughter had been having a sexual relationship with an adult male. Sex Crimes investigators were immediately notified and subsequently began their investigation.

Detectives were able to identify a possible suspect and, just hours later, patrol officers located the man and brought him to the detective office at the Shreveport Police Complex. Investigators interviewed the suspect, identified as 19 year old Casey Walker of the 3400 block of Palm Rd. in Shreveport, and then booked him into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of aggravated rape.
