At approximately 5:10 p.m. on December 2, 2009, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched out to the Flowers Bakery in the 9400 block of Mansfield Rd. relative to a robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned that a heavy-set white male suspect entered the business and told the cashier to give him the money and no one would get hurt. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene in what has been described as a blue vehicle.
Three hours later, at approximately 8:10 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Sonic restaurant in the 6100 block of W. 70th St. relative to a robbery. Upon arrival there, officers learned that a heavy-set white male ordered food and when the employee brought the food to him, he told her to give him all the money and no one would get hurt. The suspect once again received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene in what was described as a green vehicle. No one was injured in either robbery.
Detectives began their investigation and within five hours had the suspect in custody. Investigators have arrested 24 year old Sean W. Whaley of the 1900 block of Alford Ln. in Bossier City and booked him into the Shreveport City Jail on two counts of simple robbery. -spd- View all SPD press releases at www.shreveportla.gov |
