Shreveport Police announce graduation ceremony for the 62nd Basic Academy

The graduation ceremony of the 62^nd Basic Law Enforcement Training Session of the Shreveport Regional Police Academy will be held this Friday, December 4, 2009.

Commencement ceremonies will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in the 9300 block of Linwood Ave. and will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Graduates taking the oath of office include 21 Shreveport police officers and four Bossier Parish Sheriff’s deputies. The Shreveport officers are listed as follows: Marlon Clark, Vickie Clark, Michelle Crawford, Stephen Desselle, Arthur Green, Sherita Holden, Allen Johnson, Narsisee LaVarry, John Lee, LaBrian Marsden, Adam McEntee, Gerald McKinney, Ernestine Morris, Ryan Owen, Kimberly Slayton, Brian Smith, Darrielle Stephens, Sheila Taylor, James Tilley, Vincent Webb, and Demond Wheatley. The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Deputies are listed as follows: Joey Bowen, Corey MacIsaac, Charles Myrick, and Jared Whitard.

Members of our local media are encouraged to attend and celebrate with us as these new law enforcement officers embark upon their careers in public service.
