Wanted woman arrested in Texas

Shreveport Police have been notified that a woman wanted in connection with a homicide last month has been captured by law officers in Texas.

At approximately 4:40 p.m. on October 30, 2009, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Sprague St. relative to a shooting. Upon arrival there, officers discovered 42 year old David J. Daniels suffering from several gunshot wounds. Daniels was transported to LSUHSC by the Shreveport Fire Department where he was pronounced deceased.

Detectives subsequently secured a second degree murder warrant for the arrest of 20 year old Tisha Watson of Shreveport in connection with this shooting. The warrant has a bond of $100,000. According to Shreveport Police Detective Jeff Brown, Watson was captured today in Dallas, Texas by Baylor Medical Center Police and is in custody there awaiting extradition to Caddo Parish. Detectives will be travelling to Texas tomorrow to interview Watson.
