I-20/Spring Street Fatality

On Saturday, November 14th at approximately 4:00 PM, Shreveport Police responded to a major accident at the Spring Street entrance ramp at I-20W.

Upon arrival investigators determined, a motorcycle, 1993 Honda CBR, driven by Kappuchino McGough, b/m, 3-16-82, was on the Spring Street entrance ramp to I-20 West when he struck the retaining wall. The impact of the collision caused McGough to be thrown from the motorcycle, over the retaining wall, landing on I-20 East in the inside lane.

Simultaneously, another motorist Larry Little, Shreveport was on I-20 East when he observed McGough falling from the Spring Street ramp and quickly stopped his vehicle to avoid hitting McGough. Unable to stop, another vehicle driven by Willie Lewis, Shreveport, collided with the rear of Little's vehicle causing no injuries only vehicle damage.

McGough was transported to LSUHSC where he was pronounced deceased. Investigation is on-going to determine the exact cause of the accident.
