Shreveport Police investigating home invasion Shreveport Police detectives are investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred over night in Shreveport’s Caddo Heights neighborhood.
At approximately 11:26 p.m. last night, officers and detectives responded to a residence in the 1600 block of Vivian St. relative to a report of a home invasion. Upon arrival there, officers learned that a male suspect had forced his way into an elderly female’s home and stolen a small amount of cash and her car. The victim advised investigators that earlier this week, she was approached at her house by a male suspect who stated he was homeless and needed money. The victim reported to officers she gave the man a few dollars and he has since returned to her home asking for more money. The male suspect came back again last night and when she refused to open the door, he forced his way in and stole some cash and her car. The victim was not injured and officers were able to recover the victim’s vehicle a few blocks away where it had been abandoned.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 45 years old, 5'8" tall, weighing 150-175 lbs., with dark brown hair. The suspect is missing his front teeth.
Anyone who has any information regarding this robbery is urged to call Shreveport Police Detective Russell Ross at 318-673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
