Huntington High School Coach Arrested by Shreveport Police

On July 25, 2009, after a brief struggle, Shreveport Police arrested Jerry Byrd at 6123 Line Avenue, Superior Bar & Grill. Byrd was charged with Entering and Remaining and Resisting an Officer. A Shreveport Police Officer working off duty at the restaurant was alerted by the manager that Mr. Byrd had been asked to leave, but refused. The officer approached Mr. Byrd and after a brief conversation, escorted Mr. Byrd out of the restaurant, where a taxi was waiting. Mr. Byrd refused and attempted to re-enter the restaurant. After a brief struggle, Byrd was arrested and booked into the city jail.
