Travelodge robbed

Shreveport Police need your help in identifying and apprehending a suspect who robbed a Shreveport hotel early this morning.

At approximately 4:30 a.m. this morning, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the Travelodge hotel in the 2100 block of Greenwood Rd. A witness told investigators that a male suspect entered the hotel, possibly through a back door, and produced a small, silver handgun, demanding money from the clerk at gunpoint. The suspect, described a black male in his late teens to early twenties, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, slender build, was last seen wearing a black short sleeved t-shirt, dark pants and a white baseball cap. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the business on foot. No one was injured during the robbery.
