Shreveport Police and S.P.A.R. to host “Law and Order” youth camp Shreveport Police and S.P.A.R. are hosting a “Law and Order” camp this week for teens ages 13 to 17.
The “Law and Order” camp will introduce students between the ages of 13 and 17 to the criminal justice system, the elements within that system, and how they work together. Noted experts in the fields of law enforcement, including prosecutors and judges, will provide insight into their respective fields. Campers will also participate in a scenario that will incorporate the students into the roles of patrol officer, detective, crime scene investigator, prosecuting attorney, defense attorney, judge and jury. The students will get “hands on” experience relative to the criminal justice process.
The camp will be a four day event running from July 21 to July 24, 2009 and will start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m. each day. The camp will be held in the Assembly Room on the second floor of the Shreveport Police Complex.
