Police seek suspect in shooting Shreveport Police detectives are looking for a Shreveport man in connection with a shooting that left another man suffering from several gunshot wounds.
On July 10, 2009, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to Willis-Knighton North relative to a male victim arriving there by private auto with several gunshot wounds to the lower abdomen. The victim, identified as 26 year old Antonio Church, was later transported to LSUHSC where he underwent emergency surgery. At that time, officers were unable to obtain any additional information regarding the shooting.
Detectives immediately began an investigation and as a result of that investigation have now identified the suspect believed to have shot Antonio Church. Detective James Cromer has a warrant outstanding for the arrest of 31 year old Dequan Parks for attempted second degree murder in connection with the shooting of Antonio Church. The warrant has a $400,000 bond. Parks’ last known address is 5014 Robert St. in Shreveport. Detectives believe Dequan Parks should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with any information regarding Dequan Parks or his whereabouts is urged to call Shreveport Police detectives at 318-673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373. -spd- View all SPD press releases at www.shreveportla.gov |
