Detectives detail capture of murder suspect Shreveport Police detectives are releasing more information this afternoon regarding the capture of Lorenzo Jefferson, who is accused of shooting two men early this morning.
Investigators believe that after shooting and killing 30 year old Gary Maxie, Jr. and wounding 38 year old Noel Steele at a residence in the 3100 block of Lakeshore Dr., Lorenzo Jefferson fled the scene of the crime in Maxie’s vehicle and was subsequently involved in a vehicle crash at Hearne Ave. and Lakeshore Dr. Jefferson fled the crash on foot and apparently went to the emergency room at Willis-Knighton North complaining of back pain. Willis-Knighton security notified officers and police arrived on scene there and arrested Jefferson.
Lorenzo Jefferson, 40 years old, of the 3100 block of Lakeshore Dr. in Shreveport, has been booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of first degree murder.
