Robbers strike Southern Hills Grocery

Shreveport Police need your help in identifying and apprehending a pair of suspects who robbed a west Shreveport grocery store this afternoon.

At approximately 3:35 p.m. on July 9, 2009, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the Southern Hills Grocery Store in the 8900 block of Kingston Rd. A witness told investigators that two black male suspects entered the store and one of them produced a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the clerk at gunpoint. The suspects received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the store in what has been described by witnesses as a mid-size to compact dark colored car. The two suspects are described as black males in their 30's, both approximately 5'10” tall, weighing over 200 lbs.
