Family Dollar robbed

Shreveport Police need your help in identifying and apprehending the suspect who robbed a Family Dollar store in Shreveport’s Highland neighborhood yesterday.

At approximately 7:15 p.m. on July 8, 2009, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the Family Dollar in the 2000 block of Centenary Blvd. A witness told investigators that a male suspect entered the store, produced a black semi-automatic handgun, and demanded money from the clerk at gunpoint. The suspect, described a black male wearing a white t-shirt, dark pants with a purple bandanna covering half of his face, received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the store on foot. No one was injured during the robbery.
