Shreveport Police detectives are investigating a shooting that left a teenager suffering a gunshot wound.
At approximately 8:50 p.m. last night, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of Barbara Ave. relative to a shooting. Upon arrival there, officers discovered a sixteen year old year female suffering from a grazing gunshot wound to the head. The juvenile victim was transported to LSUHSC with what has been described as a non life threatening wound.
Detectives have learned that the victim and a family member were walking in the 4500 block of Lyba St.when a group of people in front of a residence there began to argue. During this argument, several of the subjects pulled weapons and began to fire them. The sixteen year old female was grazed by a bullet and she and her relative both fled to the residence on Barbra where they called police. The suspects are described by the victim only as four to five black males.
