Shooting victim dies

A man injured in an early morning shooting back in mid June has died.

Antonio Gladney, 22 years of age, died at LSUHSC on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at approximately 3:45 p.m. Gladney was shot on June 19, 2009 in the 3700 block of Hearne Ave. following a dispute with another man. Detectives have learned that Gladney was involved in an altercation with an unknown male prior to the shooting and the two apparently came into contact with each other again at the Raceway there in the 3700 block of Hearne Ave. Gladney and the suspect began to fight and at some point during this fight the suspect produced a handgun and shot Gladney three times. Investigators are working at this time to identify the suspect responsible for the death of Mr. Gladney.
