Bank robbery suspect surrenders to police

A man wanted in connection with the robbery of a west Shreveport bank has surrendered to authorities this afternoon.

Victor A. Johnson, 21 years old, of the 7200 block of Beaufort Way in Shreveport, surrendered to Shreveport Police detectives at the Police Complex and was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on an outstanding arrest warrant charging him with one count of armed robbery. Johnson is accused of robbing the Bancorp South in the 6800 block of Pines Rd. on June 18, 2009.
