Homicide suspect arrested in Massachusetts

Shreveport Police detectives received notification this afternoon that a man wanted in connection with an early June homicide has been taken into custody.

According to Shreveport investigators, authorities with the United States Marshal's Fugitive Task Force have arrested 20 year old Norman "Don" Heflin in Massachusetts. Heflin was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for second degree murder in the shooting death of Phillip Livigni. Livigni was shot and killed back on June 5, 2009 in the 9900 block of Smitherman. No other details regarding the circumstances of Heflin's capture are available at this time.
