Shreveport Police work early morning shooting

Shreveport Police are investigating an early morning shooting that left a local man fighting for his life.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. this morning, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to the Raceway convenience store located in the 3700 block of Hearne Ave. relative to a shooting. Upon arrival there, officers discovered that 22 year old Antonio Gladney had been shot in the chest, abdomen, and wrist by an unknown suspect. Gladney was transported by a private vehicle to a local hospital where he was rushed into surgery.

Detectives have learned that Gladney was involved in an altercation with another man prior to the shooting and the two apparently came into contact with each other again at the Raceway. Gladney and the suspect began to fight and at some point during this fight the suspect produced a handgun and shot Gladney three times.
