Shreveport Police remind citizens of safety tips

As part of our ongoing commitment to public safety, the Shreveport Police Department would like to take this opportunity to remind citizens of some common sense safety tips to remember regarding mail handling.

The attached document from the F.B.I. offers some quick and easy safety tips relative to some things we should all be on the look out for when it comes to receiving mail, particularly in an office or other business setting. Things like misspelled words, thick or bulky packages, and badly typed or written addresses might be clues that something may be amiss with a package you receive. By simply paying attention and being prepared, we can all work together to make our community a safer place to live, work and play.
