Shreveport Police looking for bank robber Shreveport Police are looking for a man who robbed a west Shreveport bank this morning.
At approximately 11:15 a.m., patrol officers were dispatched out to the Bancorp South in the 6800 block of Pines Rd. relative to a robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned that a black male suspect wearing a light blue baseball cap, dark sunglasses, a black and white sweat suit, and dark shoes with an orange stripe entered the bank carrying a plastic grocery bag. The suspect produced a silver semi-automatic handgun and jumped the counter, pointing the weapon at two tellers. He demanded all of the money and then began opening the cash drawers himself. He retrieved an undisclosed amount of money, jumped back over the counter and ran out of the bank. A witness observed the suspect get into the passenger side of a late model blue SUV, possibly a Tahoe or Yukon, with tinted windows and chrome spoke wheels that was last seen going east on W. 70th St. from Pines Rd. No one was injured during the robbery.
Police detectives are asking for your help to identify and apprehend this bank bandit.
