Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit seizes marijuana plants

Agents with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit investigating a complaint from a concerned citizen have seized approximately 30 marijuana plants from a Shreveport residence.

At approximately 8:12 a.m. this morning, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to the 800 block of Roselawn relative to a call from a concerned citizen regarding the fact that there were marijuana plants growing behind a house in that block. Upon arrival, officers did indeed locate the marijuana plants and subsequently notified Agents with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit. Agents arrived on scene and after a brief investigation, seized approximately 30 marijuana plants and arrested two local men in connection with those plants.

The following suspects were arrested in connection with this investigation:

Charles Downceraux, 41 years old, of the 800 block of Roselawn in Shreveport was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of manufacture and distribution of a Schedule I narcotic.

Derodrick Johnson, 19 years old, of the 800 block of Roselawn in Shreveport was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of manufacture and distribution of a Schedule I narcotic.
