Detectives arrest second suspect in Bringhurst homicide

A man wanted in connection with the murder of 22 year old Kevin Powell has surrendered to police this afternoon.

Deangilo LePaul White, 18 years old, of the 600 block of Damaka St. in Shreveport, surrendered to Shreveport Police detectives at the Police Complex and was booked into the Shreveport City Jail at approximately 2:25 p.m. on one count of second degree murder. White is accused of shooting Powell twice in the 700 block of Bringhurst on June 5, 2009, after an argument of some type transpired between the two. Powell later died at LSUHSC.
